Movie Reviews

Taran Adarsh (Bollywood Hungama) – 4.5/5

Krrish 3 has the ingredients that make a splendid superhero film, besides being Rakesh Roshan’s most accomplished work so far. Besides a riveting plot, the film scores brownie points thanks to the strong undercurrent of emotions, the clash between the protagonist and antagonist/mutants, the awe-inspiring visual effects, the larger-than-life entertainment and of course, Hrithik Roshan, who is matchless in this avtaar. It’s a Diwali bonanza for moviegoers across the globe and is sure to conclude the celebratory period on a high. BLOCKBUSTER. Full Review.

Rajeev Masand (CNN IBN)

Coming back after seven years is director Rakesh Roshan with Krrish’s sequel. The director, who has mastered over delivering a perfect drama with true persuasion, knows how to balance the action constituent with perfect emotion.

Anupama Chopra (NDTV)

If Krrish 2 saw Krishna defeating Siddhant Arya and save his father Rohit, Krrish 3 will reportedly see the superhero fighting with a dark force, an evil genius who is spreading fear.

The wise idea of giving a new dimension to the human age, which the director develops in Rohit’s (Hrithik Roshan) wit, has somewhat a known appeal. You are compelled to make a comparison with the Hollywood’s n number of action flicks but this is again a compliment to Rakesh’s thought process.

Boss review

Boss Movie Review

Ratings : 4/5 Boss Review by Taran Adarsh

Satyakant [Mithun Chakraborty] unknowingly kills a teenager and his eldest son, Boss [Akshay Kumar], takes the blame on himself. He’s sentenced to jail. When he serves his term and is released, Boss moves to another city. Meanwhile, Satyakant’s younger son, Shiv [Shiv Pandit], bashes up the Home Minister’s son Vishal [Aakash Dabhade], who’s harassing Ankita [Aditi Rao Hydari], the sister of a top cop [Ronit Roy]. All hell breaks loose at this point…

BOSS is a clear departure from previous Akshay starrers [OMG – OH MY GOD!, SPECIAL 26, ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAI DOBAARA!], yet it has everything that spectators look for in masala fares — a daring hero with loads of heroism, the emotional chord between two brothers and their father, a corrupt cop, the fight between good and evil, a tadka of comedy, hummable soundtrack, clap-trap dialoguebaazi, lots of gravity-defying stunts… in fact, BOSS is a fast-moving roller-coaster ride that gives you no time to think. The film transports you to the cinema of yore, when the sole motive of a movie was to please, appease, amuse and entertain the spectators and reap a harvest at the BO. This one does that too: It offers entertainment by the bucketful and celebrates the formula with panache.
